Why 316L stainless steel is highly valued?
Thanks to the addition of molybdenum, 316L stainless steel offers increased resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It performs excellently in aggressive, humid and chemically demanding environments.

60 m³ stainless steel 316L tank – above-ground industrial tank
For a client in Norway, we manufactured an aboveground, single-wall V60 m³ steel tank with 2500 mm diameter, made of high-grade 316L stainless steel. The structure was built in accordance with EN 12285-2 and with the highest quality standards applicable in the tank manufacturing industry.
The tank is designed for storing industrial media and is adapted to operate in a wide range of temperatures and in harsh environmental conditions, making it a reliable component of industrial installations. The external surface of the tank was prepared in accordance with technical requirements:
- abrasive-blast cleaned to Sa 2.5 according to ISO 8501-1,
- coated with a primer ensuring additional anti-corrosion protection.
Insulation – operational stability and energy efficiency
The tank structure is equipped with complete thermal insulation, significantly increasing its functionality, energy performance and operational resistance.
Applied solutions:
- 200 mm mineral wool insulation,
- external cladding made of 0.7 mm aluzinc sheet.
This ensures:
- reduced energy losses during operation,
- stable temperature of the stored medium,
- protection against weather conditions,
- safeguarding the structure against sudden temperature changes.
Thermal insulation is particularly important in processes requiring precise temperature control of the stored medium and high overall energy efficiency of the installation.
Complete equipment of the industrial tank
To ensure maximum functionality and operational convenience, the tank is equipped with:
- cradles S235JR
- a service platform with ladder and railings,
- a set of nozzles compliant with the client’s design.
