Steel tanks for UAN – a safe solution for modern agriculture
Modern farming requires reliable and durable solutions for storing liquid fertilizers. One of the most commonly used is UAN – urea ammonium nitrate solution, a highly effective nitrogen fertilizer that has become the foundation of fertilization in many farms. However, due to its properties, UAN cannot be stored in just any container – it is a corrosive substance, which means it requires specially designed storage tanks.
Project example – 12 tanks with a total capacity of 1,200 m³
For one of our agricultural clients, we delivered 12 single-wall steel tanks with a capacity of 100 m³ each and diameter 2900 mm. Altogether, this provides 1200 m³ of safe storage space dedicated to liquid fertilizer.
Each tank has been properly protected – internally with a coating resistant to UAN, and externally with an epoxy layer providing long-term corrosion protection against environmental factors. This ensures that the fertilizer retains its properties and the tank structure remains reliable for many years of operation.
Convenience and safety in use
Our tanks are not only designed to protect the stored fertilizer, but also to ensure maximum user comfort. Each unit is equipped with two manholes, connection nozzles, as well as a sturdy ladder with safety rails and a working platform. This guarantees easy and safe access during inspection and operation, giving farmers full confidence in everyday use.
