Interesting information about the project
Motorsport centres with racecourses are associated primarily with spectacular races. However, they are intended only for professional rally drivers. There are many such centres (more or less complex) that offer their racecourses and infrastructure both to individual customers and companies looking, for example, to train their employees in road safety and safe driving, test vehicles used for business purposes or organise a team building event. Every motoring enthusiast and fast driving aficionado, whether in cars, motorbikes or go-karts, can practice drifting and driving at the limits of tyre grip in such a place. There are many enthusiasts of this sort of pastime. Some are just beginning to polish their driving skills, others are looking for excitement and adrenaline. They all have one thing in common – no matter if they use a vehicle provided by a motorsport centre (such as go-karts or specially adapted sports cars) or their own motorbike or car, they need to be able to refuel.
A large racecourse – large refuelling needs
The bigger the racecourse, the greater the refuelling needs of the vehicles. This is the case at one of the largest centres of its kind in Norway, for which we have produced a mobile petrol station in a container that provides easy and convenient access to fuel for all drivers using the centre. Its offer is very extensive – ranging from tracks for road racing, through a go-kart track, to tracks for motocross and enduro racing. This means dozens of vehicles that require refuelling. And it should be convenient, safe and available as close to the racecourse as possible.
Convenient refuelling means greater satisfaction for customers of the racecourse
The container petrol station is a product that offers high location flexibility and cost optimisation. It can be quickly installed (without lengthy and expensive construction work) or relocated – if required. It can be fully self-service after the installation of, for example, a suitable payment terminal and is therefore a perfect choice as a fuel distribution point for commercial purposes. Moreover, it is possible to customise its appearance, e.g. in terms of colours, lighting and other visual elements according to your corporate identity.
Tailor-made petrol station
The location of our petrol station, as well as the customer’s anticipated intensity of use, had a significant impact on its appearance and design. The climate in this part of Norway had to be taken into account, together with the geological conditions and existing land development, and the number of drivers who are expected to use it regularly. The result was a product with the following characteristics:
- The sandwich panel container houses a double-walled, single-chamber tank with a capacity of 18,000 litres intended for the storage of petrol.
- Both the tank and the container’s steel structure and sandwich panels have been protected against corrosion with a C5 rating.
- Two rooms are envisaged in the rear of the container: a loading room to accommodate pipes for filling the tank with a loading pump, and a technical room to accommodate, for example, the electric cabinet and equipment for the leak detection system.
- Aesthetic and functional qualities are enhanced by various lighting elements – an LED light fitting along the top edge of the container and light panels installed under the roof above the platform under the dispenser.
- The platform will be additionally protected by tempered glass panels.
